With 30 years of photographic printing, Metro printers are professionals who can help
How is Metroprint different to Metro Imaging's other services?
Metroprint is designed to as a semi-automated online ‘self-service’ facility. It’s designed for web-savvy photographers who don’t feel they need the intervention of a professional printer. The ever-increasing sophistication of digital cameras, coupled with the shining brilliance of our printing profiles, means that it is possible to get a perfectly good print from an image without correction. And then there’s the photographers who have always liked to do their own printing: this service is for you!
So how is that different to classic Metro Imaging? Well it’s a world apart!
When you work with a printer at Metro Imaging, from the standard Lambda C Type print service upwards, we colour balance and correct your images to your brief. The
Standard Lambda C Type
print service doesn’t include free tests but all Premier services include operator time, free test prints and a dialogue with an individual printer that many photographers find a useful element in their creative process.
With the
Premier Lambda service
, for example, one of our printers will talk through your ideas with you so they fully understand what you’re looking for from your final print. You can come in, sit down and look at the screen together. Working side by side like this is a really productive process. When you’re happy with what you see, they produce test strips or a test print so you can make any corrections before the final print.
This service includes our free Limited Edition printing service, where once your master image files have been printed and approved, we hold edition files on our server, which are backed up on tape and Blu-Ray DVD. Edition prints, perfectly match your original, can be ordered at any time and are always produced at a discounted rate.
With Metroprint all that decision-making process is down to you: we provide all the best papers, profiles and machines in the business and let you make your own prints with these top facilities at your fingertips.
